My latest firefox software has been uninstalled to try and rectify an apple account log in problem. A second OLDER firefox account is installed on my computer and cannot be removed with the uninstall button. How can I remove the unwanted software

You need to if PC O/S boot into Windows Safe Mode with Networking and from there uninstall any FF install you see and sometimes you have to go directly to that folder to find the "Uninstall" command to remove it should the icon or link not exists. And then reboot and redownload the correct version to reinstall again.
