I can't stand with firefox history. This option work randomly and there is no sort by TIME, only by date.
I have changed my chrome to firefox two mounth ago and everything is much better compare with chrome. The browsing history, however, drives me crazy because there is no sorting by time and when i trying to find out what website a have visited an our ago, the process becoming quite complecated due to lack of any sorting in current day.

Hello Michel, If you want to sort your history in Firefox: Press Ctrl+H to bring up the history panel Click on view and select the desired sort order By most visited, by last visited, by site and date... Screenshot attached Hope this help. If you want to see the most recent tabs Firefox has another handy feature Right click on the back button in the left to show the history
You may need to use the Library window, which has additional columns. You can call that using either:
- "Show All History"
- Ctrl+Shift+h
In the left column, there are date range selectors, and on the right side, if you don't see a "Most Recent Visit" column, click any column heading (e.g., "Location") and click it on the list to add it.
Bear in mind that Firefox always shows the most recent visit time, so if you go to a site five times, it will only show once and have the latest time. (That's why it often shows newer dates/times when you view old date ranges.)
The default action for double-clicking an item on the right side is to open it in the last active tab. To open an item in a new tab, either:
- right-click > Open in a New Tab
- Ctrl+click
- middle click using the mouse scroll wheel
Hopefully that helps?
Also, you can load the library into a tab by manually pasting the following internal address to the address bar and pressing Enter. You also can bookmark it. (This defaults to Bookmarks instead of History.)
chrome://browser/content/places/places.xul
That may or may not be more convenient than a separate window.
