why so many profile files?
After one opening of FF, FF opens and stores data in 11208 files for a total of 210.39MB. It uses .....Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\kn2940wd.default\...... Why so many profiles and why doesn't FF delete all these files when a session is finished? This causes FF to use 100% of disk time and causes FF to "Not Responding".

In what folder(s) is Firefox creating these file (I assume they are not in the main profile folder) and what file extension do they have?
Can you attach a screenshot?

- use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
It would be a screenshot of 11208 file names that look like:
.....Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\kn2940wd.default\......
Simply, any program that wastes time writing 11208 files per session has a problem. Why should there be 11208 Profile files to save? There is only the "default" Profile. That's 18K average per file.
Firefox doesn't do this by default, so we need to know what files this is about and in what location (folder).
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

So it is only one Profile but multiple files in the Profile.
Are many of the files duplicates but with a number on end?
