can not move tabs to bottom using firefox 65.0 on iMac OS High Sierra.

Hi all,

Up until the release and update to version 65.0 of firefox, my tabs were located below the tool bars at the bottom. Since updating to 65.0, my tabs are located at the top. I prefer them at the bottom. I've tried some of the userChrome.css suggestions, but they do not work. I've also used about:profiles to make sure I'm using the correct profile. It displays in finder the location of my profile. That's the location that I've been using to change the userChrome.css, but without success.

Any help would be Greatly appreciated.

Dennis

Hi Cor-el,

I followed your post above, but NO luck. Still have Tabs at the top. I'm not sure I'm doing it right though. I copied your info into the userChrome.css file making sure it was under the @name program line, and it looked just like you posted. Opened up Firefox and the Tabs where still on the Top. Any other ideas?

Thanks for you help!

Did you place the userChrome.css in the correct location (chrome folder in the profile folder) and did you make sure the file is a plain text file (e.g. TextEdit)?

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Hi Cor-El,

Okay, I had already used "about:profiles" to find my Chrome folder and userChrome.css file. Using the mac text editor, I copied and pasted your code into that file. That didn't work. So I renamed the userChrome.css file and using the same text editor and copy and paste, I made a new userChrome.css file with your code. Unfortunately, that didn't work either. So, I guess my copy of Firefox is messed up so it won't accept these changes. I'll have to live with the tabs on top unless you know of something else I can do, which sucks!

Thanks for your help!

Dennis

Okay, I had already used "about:profiles" to find my Chrome folder ...

Try using a lower case c for the chrome folder name.
