Addresses in the form ms-word:ofe|u|http://sharepoint/anydoc.docx result in error The address wasn’t understood

Previous versions asked first-time for the application to handle and then it opens the application with that address on subsequent occastions.

I cannot find where to define or configure the protocol handlers.

I think for such apps I would use IE or Edge as seems like sharepoint is very picky what browser one uses.

Thanks for your reply. I still think it is a Firefox setting. It worked flawlessly in earlier versions. BTW the sharepoint is a simple webdav server, not an actual Microsoft Sharepoint.

If they updated how the security works and it fails the Browser checks then it will not work unless the site itself updates how they verify security checks.
