Can't send image in email body

I cannot send, reply to, or forward any email that has an image in the body of the message. I just get a "Loading Images" message in the lower left corner of the screen. I am using 60.5.1 in Linux Mint. I think it's probably just a configuration/settings issue, hopefully...

Sounds like it might be a permissions issue with the temp folder.

Thanks a milion for the reply. Since I'm nearly computer illiterate and just making the big change to Linux, could you suggest how I could address this problem, in the vernacular?
