Why is Firefox running so slowly?
Despite downloading and installing several "fixes" to the slow running of Firefox I can't believe that it is running so slowly.
Firefox is painfully slow, so much so that 8 times out of ten the page times out and fails to load.
This is completely unacceptable. Firefox has been my browser of choice for about 15 years, but unless Mozilla finds a PROPER fix to this issue I will be changing my default browser to Chrome.
Does anyone have a solution to this?
My OS is Windows 10.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version?cache=no Did you update Firefox to the latest version 65.0.2 February 28, 2019
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

That did not fix it.
I don't have time to fiddle around with Firefox all day. If Mozilla can't get its act together then hard luck.
I'm switching to Chrome as my default browser.
Problem solved.
