After the upgrade, I can't work with files from the library or any other place. I want to go back to older versions, this is awful.

What upgrade are you talking about?

Are you referring to issues with the bookmarks?

Note that Firefox 66 has just been released.

The option to open a link in a window is about links that specify a target window. For opening a normal link in a new window you would have to hold the Shift key and left-click the link/bookmark.

You can check the Addons website if you can find an extension that offers this feature.

Hmm. Option "Open Links in Tabs Instead of New Windows" unChecked, close FF, open FF, and links are still opening in Tabs?

If you Right-Click on links and select Open Link in New Window, does that work?
