I want to clear my history, cookies and cache without losing my passwords and sign-ins. I have tried in General>Privacy & Security>History but the "Use Custom Setting for History" grays out the "Settings" tab. I'm really tired of changing passwords all the time because I'm locked out. How is this done? Thank you.

Chosen solution

Hi winsom, could you try this:

Options > Privacy & Security > History

Firefox will: Use custom settings for history

Uncheck this box:

[_] Always use private browsing mode

Check this box:

[x] Clear history when Firefox closes

Then the Settings button should be enabled. No?
