I can no longer go to a folder, click on an image and then choose "send to" and have it open Thunderbird with the photo attached. Others have encountered this problem but were advised to delete old versions and download the newest version.Which seems to have fixed it for them. I am already using 60.6.1 which seems to be the most recent version as I only recently downloaded it. What do I do to fix my problem?

Windows 7 users may need to install the MS Visual Studio runtime Library to make the Send to option work.

Another remedy that has worked for some users is to download and run the full TB 60.6.1 installer, then restart the computer to apply the changes that are relevant to the Send to operation.

I tried downloading MS Visual Studio and now it opens Thunderbird when using the send option but still does not open a new email with the file attached. Running the full TB 60.6.1 download was what caused the problem in the first place.

Please clarify, do we understand you correctly, you did not update to the 60.6.1 version, you uninstalled Thunderbird and then downloaded and ran a fresh 60.6.1 version ?
