I have sent webpage links via Thunderbird thousands of time. All of a sudden today I get the above message. Spent all day yesterday trying to get calendar back with no success; looks like I'll be spending today with this one. I really appreciate all you volunteers, but what the hell is going on?

I suggest you try reinstalling both Firefox and Thunderbird. Something in the system integration sounds like it might have gone to god and a reinstall should refresh the necessary links in the registry.
