Each and every time I log in I also have to enable the "automatic blocking of trackers" feature; or in other words the "automatic blocking of trackers" is disabled every time I log in. Why is this?

I used to enable it once and it would remain enabled continuously.

Hi graz747,

Is this happening with any of your other preferences or just this particular option?

There's an article here that has some options you can try: to fix preferences that won't save https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-fix-preferences-wont-save

Let me know if these don't work or if you need any help going through them!

Other thing you can check:

In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history.

  • do not clear the Site Preferences
  • clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exception for password and other website specific data
  • clearing "Cookies" will remove all selected cookies including cookies with an Allow exception you may want to keep
