For the last two days I have ben unable to download emails from my gmail account. I can view them on my iphone but whn I try to download to Thunderbird it tells me that there are No Messages. Before this happened, it had worked perfectly for several years and I have made no changes other than a new gmail password which is obviously recognised.

In Thunderbird is the gmail account set up as pop or imap?
