Private Network Extension Sometimes Fails
The new private network extension is very cool...when it works which is most of the time. I am running version 69.0.1 . The install was perfect. I turn on the extension and go to a website that checks your IP address. OMG, not only is my IP address an address provided by Cloudflare, Mozilla's partner, but I now have a Cloudflare IPv6 address. That was a surprise. My ISP, Verizon FIOS does not provide IPv6 but a Firefox extension does. I am happily surprised.
The problem is that for no apparent reason connections to any website will stop working. I see the TLS connection message in the lower right but the webpage doesn't load. The fix is to turn off this extension for a few seconds and then turn it back on. Everything will then work. This occurs about every five minutes.
How can I troubleshoot this?
Thanks.

Hi firefoxsync10, Firefox Private Network is currently in beta, so, your input is important.
You can get Help & Support or Leave Feedback by clicking on the icon in your toolbar and clicking on the Gear in the upper right corner.
The Firefox Private Network Beta: Feedback is here: https://qsurvey.mozilla.com/s3/fx-private-network-beta-feedback
The only idea that I can offer to "troubleshoot" would be to use the Traceroute Command. This might help determine where there is a breakdown along the hops.
Thanks. I found the "leave feedback" icon on the Private Network extension and left feedback.
As for using traceroute to see how bits are transmitted to a website or don't get transmitted, isn't traceroute using the operating system to send the bits, not the tunnel that is apparently created by the browser extension?
See if you can get it done here:
WebPageTest https://www.webpagetest.org/traceroute.php
Did you check the Browser Console for possible error messages?
Note that there is the Network Monitor and the about:networking page that you can use for more information.
Thanks for the info. Here's what shows up on the Browser Console when the connection stops working.
