How do I fix update popup window for downloading 68.01 when I am running 68.01?
Thunderbird reports that I need to download the latest version 68.01 when I am already running it, as reported via the help/about popup. I manually downloaded full version installedit then I had to fix email settings to work with my email correctily as it lost all settings, pointers to email data.

perhaps you could upload a screen shot of that dialog and the Application basics information from the troubleshooting information in the help menu. Just drag your mouse over it to highlight and press Ctrl+C to copy it. Paste it into a reply on the forum.
Application Basics
Name: Thunderbird Version: 68.1.1 Build ID: 20190924105435
As you can see I am running the latest version, yet the popup.
I am still getting the popup. Running 68.1.1

Did you try deleting the Updates folder as explained in my previous reply?
Didn't work on mine, and I am running the 68.1.1 64bit version right now as well, and still get an upgrade notice pop up.
Just found that 68.1.2 is latest version by checking version page on website. I upgraded to 68.1.2 64bit and will let you know if the pop up is still wonky..
