Up until Firefox 69.0.3 outlook.live.com "Hotmail" worked fine. Firefox updated to 70 and all I see on the page is the Outlook blue logo.

This is what I have done without any help:

- Ran Firefox in safe mode - Deleted all cookies from Outlook and Microsoft - Deleted all certificates from Outlook and Microsoft

When everything was deleted I was able to log in to Outlook, but that's about it. I just end up back at the blue logo.

The only thing that breefly worked was installing Firefox 69.0.3, but Firefox crashed my computer and once I got it back up I had to use Chrome to install Firefox 70 and I ended up back at square one.

I will not do a refresh start on Firefox since I have spent years customizing Firefox.

All other sites seem to work as they should except for Outlook.live.com

Hi Hadi, sorry for the late reply. Is your computer running Windows, Mac, or Linux? Currently your question is under Android, I guess because you posted it from an Android device. A moderator can move it over for you.

Meanwhile, could you try this:

Could you try:

New Profile Test

This takes about 3 minutes, plus the time to test Outlook/Hotmail.

Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.

Click the "Create a New Profile" button, then click Next. Assign a name like Oct2019, ignore the option to relocate the profile folder, and click the Finish button.

After creating the profile, scroll down to it and click the Launch profile in new browser button.

Firefox should open a new window that looks like a brand new, uncustomized installation. (Your existing Firefox window(s) should not be affected.) Please ignore any tabs enticing you to connect to a Sync account or to activate extensions found on your system so we can get a clean test.

Does Outlook/Hotmail work any better in the new profile? If so, it probably means there is a bad setting we need to help you track down. If not, it could indicate a problem with the way Firefox is connecting.

When you are done with the experiment, you can close the extra window without affecting your regular Firefox profile. (Oct2019 will remain available for future testing.)

I'm running Firefox 70 64 bit on Windows 7. As soon as I try out the suggested solution I will report back. Thanks for your help.

Outlook/Hotmail does work better in the new profile. So, it probably means there is a bad setting you need to help me track down.

Where do we start?

Here are a list of enabled extentions:

Auto Fill Forms Back to Close WE Classic Theme Restorer Cookie AutoDelete Copy On Select Decentraleyes Facebook Container Fast QR Code Generator Forecast fox (fix version) FoxClocks Google searsh link fix Greasemonkey HD Quality Tiggle for YouTube HTTPS Everywhere Link Cleaner minerBkock New Tab Home Open With Photoshop Pinned Google Calendar Private Badger Private Possum Save Button for Pinterest Tab Susoender uBlock Origin Video Speed Controller

Again, I ran Firefox in safe mode with all extentions disabled and that did not help.

Since you get stuck part way through loading, please make sure the redirect block is turned off:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste access and pause while the list is filtered

(3) If the accessibility.blockautorefresh preference is bolded and "modified" or "user set" to true, double-click it to restore the default value of false

Any difference if you changed that?

As an indirect test of cookie settings, could you test Outlook/Hotmail in a private window?

Do you mean when you load the site in a private window it has the same exact problem as a regular window?

And Safe Mode still doesn't work?

more options

That's funny. Outlook works in Private Browsing but not in regular browsing.

Thank you for testing that. There are at least three or four threads here and on Reddit with a similar pattern: page dysfunctional in a regular window but working in a private window. I believe it is related to a privacy setting that works differently in Firefox 70, but I don't know what setting it is.

Thanks for the heads up... When you find that out please let me know.

I'd try to rename the ProfileFolder -> storage -> default subfolder.

Any new development on this issue?

Hi Hadi, there was a fix for storage problems that cause partial page loads in the recent 70.0.1 update. Did you already get that one?

This is so funny. As I'm updating Firefox, Firefox loads outlook.live.com and it works. Even before the update took place.

I now have Firefox 70.0.1 and outlook.live.com work like it should.

Thank you
