I can't get Thunderbird to start up at all. It crashes repeatedly upon startup. Completely dead. Using Windows 10 and should be the latest Thunderbird, whatever version that is. I think the latest update was fairly recently. It was working fine yesterday, will not start up today.

What is your antivirus? Bitdefender users have experienced this kind of crash on startup. Start Windows in safe mode and see if TB still crashes.

if you are using bitdefender then https://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?/topic/81641-latest-update-breaks-thunderbird/&do=findComment&comment=293676 describes a process to submit information to the vendor, information then need to diagnose the problem.

If you can give them that information it would be very helpful.

We could really use more, updated information.

If you still crash with Bitdefender enabled, please create a new topic https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird/form and put Bitdefender in the title. Thanks
