In late December 2019, I bought new computer and had the Geek Squad at Best Buy transfer all programs and files. In the process they loaded the newest version of Thunderbird and Firefox on the new computer. It is much slower than the old Thunderbird (especially) and now it appears to slowly send outgoing e-mails, but it takes 10 to 20 minutes for the e-mail to get into the SENT file — sometimes it NEVER gets into the SENT file. Is there something that I can do to speed this up?

usually you need to create an exception in your anti virus to Thunderbird profile folder.
