Is Widevine installed if you look in ☰Menu → Add-ons → Plugins?

If it is, you may want to uninstall it, it may be a corrupted install and breaking the possibility of a re-install. Even if it is not listed, check for it in the filesystem anyway. https://support.google.com/widevine/answer/3050587?hl=en&ref_topic=2930702

You might then initiate an install by visiting, e.g., Netflix again.

If necessary, you might try a manual install per this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1207502#answer-1083424 Note that this has out-of-date (and not-your-OS) information. We can find the current version of Widevine via https://dl.google.com/widevine-cdm/current.txt

So, CurVer is 1.4.9.1088 DL link should be https://redirector.gvt1.com/edgedl/widevine-cdm/1.4.9.1088-mac-x64.zip

(The current version is correctly reported by https://github.com/mozilla/gecko-dev/blob/fccedb8262e05f19c40582683e64b1043f7b3ed0/toolkit/content/gmp-sources/widevinecdm.json but i do not know if this is kept updated, or merely a coincidence.)

Hi teutonictitan1009, Go to Menu -> Preferences -> General page under Digital Rights Management (DRM) Content toggle the *Play DRM-controlled content off then back on again.
