What plugin does Firefox recommend to replace Adobe Flash on Windows 7 64 bit. I use a couple of websites that require Adobe Flash. I'm seeing that Adobe is going to discontinue support for the flash player soon.

Adobe is still supporting flash. As there are websites that still use flash, hopefully they will keep it up.

The current Firefox, and other browsers, are now using the HTML player (built into Firefox).

Hi kathyjoe5, there isn't a drop-in replacement for the Flash Player plugin for .swf files. Hopefully the sites will migrate their content before Adobe ceases security updates.

If you are talking about games that use the Shockwave Flash plugin then websites need to move from Flash to other solutions.

For media features there is the HTML5 media player. For more advanced features there is WebAssembly (wasm) that uses canvas for displaying data.

Thank you! That makes sense. Will make sure that the websites I use do migrate before using them when Adobe winds down
