I did have to reset my password (I could not remember password, hence why i sync passwords). I did logout of the firefox account before initiating a clean install of Windows. It may not make any difference though. :(

I saw how resetting password for sync account can delete info on servers? I do have sync on my android phone, where passwords and logins are still there. Is there a way to sync my android to my computer? I have tons of logins and passwords, i would hate to have to start over. :(

Thanks so much

It states on this page: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/.../using-master-password-sync]

"Passwords will not sync with Firefox for Android if a Master Password is enabled there."

If you are using a master password on your Android device try temporarily disabling it. The passwords might sync once the master password is removed.

I do not have a master password enabled at all on any device. can a recovery key obtained thru firefox android be used on windows? can the recovery key recover the bookmarks/logins on the windows device? Windows is where the bookmarks got wiped.

I have been searching all day for an answer. Ty for responding.

i suspect i will have to build individual user ids and passwords for all the sites i use, pecking thru my android device to obtain the logins, because i cannot export that info. If that is the case....i will no longer be using firefox.
