I want to really like FF and use it for my default browers, but of late, it seems to slow way down loading and viewing some sites (NY Times is a good example), and it has scripting errors with other pages (like amazon), and about half the time it has problems downloading and and letting me view PDF files (the 'error' message says I should first save the PDF files to my device, but FF offers no way for me to do that).

So for many of these very slow pages, and for Amazon, and for many PDF files, I have to switch over to Chrome to do what I want to do and see what I want to see. This doesn't feel accepable in a major browser. And then it makes me wonder what is FF not getting that Chrome seems to get right?

Hi freedda

I recommend that your try Firefox Preview, our new Android browser available from the Google Play store. It is much faster and you should find it a better browsing experience.

I just downloaded and tried it for a bit. It is a very confusing browser - I can't find anything or see how to easily navigate it. It may be fast, but that's of no help if it's not easy to use. I hate when people make 'improvements' to things in the tech world, which means they go out of their way to not make them useable or familiar. Unfortunately, that seems that's what has happened here!

It is very much in keeping with the firefox support forums, where I have to hunt to even find my own posts there. It seems intentionally confusing as does this browser. Seems I might have to go back to Chrome or see what the latest offering is from MS.
