In history, prior visits to pages are hidden. The information appears to be retained. How can that filter be removed so all visits are visible? My goal is a list of URLs visited sorted chronologically.

The extension only needs access to the browsing history, so it is up to you to decide if this is acceptable. You can read the reviews of the extension (like you always should) to check for reported issues.
