Hi oip6792, a 192.168.1.1 address usually is internal to your home network and might be a router. I have no idea why you would need to log in to your router to use the internet, but if it has some kind of security software or parental controls, maybe that is the reason?? If no better suggestion comes along, it sometimes help to reboot or "power cycle" it by unplugging the thing for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in. Obviously at a time that everyone's internet access can be interrupted for 5 minutes.
