Text in email is the wrong colour. I can only read them if I highlight the text.

Recent windows and Thbird install so no add ons. The text stays the same light grey colour between the 3 themes that come with Thbird.

Is there an about:config option to change to fix this or something?

It looks like you are using Thunderbird 'Dark theme'. Are you using Windows 10 1909 ? If yes, have you selected 'apps mode' as 'dark' ?

Does altering the colour of Display font work? Options > General Scroll down to 'Language & Appearance' Under 'fonts & colours' click on 'Colours' button for 'Text' click on colour button and choose eg: Blue

Do not select 'Use system colours'

'Override the colours specified by the content with my selections above' select 'Only with high contrast themes or Never' click on OK
