All of my previously read emails (several hundred) disappeared from inbox when Thunderbird updated to 78.3.2. When I opened it the first time after it updated I was asked to enter all of my email account information as if it was the first time I had used Thunderbird, and all of my old emails had disappeared from the inbox.

Thanks, Matt. Unfortunately, that did not help. I followed the instructions as far as creating a new profile, but when I clicked on "Choose Folder" the only folder present is the same single default one shown on the about:profiles page, and a still can't see my old emails.
