You guys use Thunderbird, okay. You're going to open the addon page but there suddenly is a another browser? You guys want to use Firefox for that?Ok Am I right!

So this is the problem that occurs with you guys on the pc during your Thunderbird sessions.

It did when you ask to do it , the pc opens the program with the add-on manager. That shows up in a new tab in the same Browser.

But...instead of that your Thunderbird is gone and the browsers are changed.

You are getting the new fresh page with add-on s from us Thunderbird. But in the default browser. And it not appears in your chosen browser?

Does the chosen browser keeps appearing! Or is this browser gone?

Explain me a bit more please.

Greetings Firefox volunteer.

No, I just do -- Tool > Addon then browse TB addon gallary. I'd like to just browse addons and add new addons with TB. but TB opens default browser. This behaviour must be bug.

What version of Thunderbird are you using? What Operating system are you using? Can you confirm each stage to say exactly at which point it opens in a browser.

I'm using Windows 10. I've just tested in Thunderbird version 68.12.1 and 78.4.0 using the Thunderbird 'Menu Bar' toolbar selected 'Tools' > 'Addons' and it opens in a new tab in Thunderbird. Does it open in a new tab in Thunderbird for you?

I can select 'Extensions' and enter something to search eg: dark, press enter and a new tab opens in Thunderbird displaying list of potential addons including themes. Does it open in a new tab in Thunderbird for you?

Selecting an extension to view will open in same tab in Thunderbird. Does it open in a new tab in Thunderbird for you?

A right click and select 'Open in Browser' does open in browser.

I'm using TB 78.4.0 on Windows 10. I had no problems with 68.x.

TB shows until the first addon gallary page. But, when I select some items, TB launch the default web browser.

I don't think this problem is happened to everyone. However, this shoud be fixed.

Maybe upgrade sequence overrided some parameters.

TB 78 must be not for me yet. I decided downgrade to 68 anyway.

Hello there Uk/undo.

What does it matter? If we can ask you?

can we offer you something? A new installation from Thunderbird?

What does your computer when it s in safe modus? Is it there again?

I just read a bit about ccleaner an erase program that would partially erase parts of a Beta version and higher versions above 68.0 of Thunderbird the add - on on output of this software.

Thunderbird adapts to rules for performing its tasks. These tasks are simply seen as executable, but they respond slightly differently. And it mistakes a delete program. Right .... it s knew it as just an assignment.

Try to read this please. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/rebuilding-global-database
