Why won't the bookmark in 'Other BookMarks' go away when I 'move' it (drag and drop) to where I want it in my saved bookmark directories? This is a copy not a move and I want a move function.

Why can't I delete a BookMark from 'Other BookMarks' without the same bookmark getting deleted where I sorted it (there is a link that shouldn't be there).

both these issues make it impossible to manage 'Other Bookmarks' and keep it tidy and minimal

Are you possibly looking at a recent bookmarked list because such a recent or most visited list shows the result of a query and removing an item from this list removes the actual item stored elsewhere ?

Evidently I do not have this problem any more. When I drag and drop from the 'Other Bookmarks' now the bookmark gets moved not copied and is removed from 'Other Bookmarks'. Must have been a recent update. This is the reason I have not organized my bookmarks for, well, a couple of years.

Figures - as soon as I ask for help it works.
