I cannot send email. I can receive no problem. I am with Spectrum for my email and ISP. I have quadrupled checked my SMTP information multiple times, including with Spectrum. They won't support 3rd party email programs, so won't help me. I don't want to use another email address (I have been sending and receiving for years,.) or use their webmail just to send. This started about a year ago, not sure what version of FF I was using at the time. I am using version 78.4.0 currently. I have tried changing ports from 465 to 587 and back with no change. I have even tried rebuilding the account. Every time I send an email I get this message: Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.twc.com timed out. Try again.

I have contacted Spectrum about this and they said that the SMTP server is working fine. I would assume so since I can receive mail. This is so infuriating. Hopefully someone can give me some ideas that I haven't tried.

Chosen solution

Spectrum email settings are confusing. Try mail.twc.com on port 587, connection security = none, authentication = password, transmitted insecurely, and User name = email address. It might also work with STARTTLS security.
