Get password error message when attempting to retrieve messages. I did not make any system changes prior to this. I went to help section and changed security.tls.version.min to 1 as recommended. This did not do any good as I still cannot download messages. I verified my password in Thunderbird and in my ATT Yahoo mail account. I can get into my Yahoo mail account with this password without a problem.

Which servers are you using, e.g. imap.att.mail.net or inbound.att.net? What is the authentication method, OAuth2 or normal password. Most AT&T users have to generate a secure mail key and use it in place of the account password.

Thanks a million! I found on ATT website in the troubleshooting section that walked me through this same solution step by step which is good for someone like me that does not know a byte from a bite.
