Thunderbird, unable to get emails
I can no longer receive email, it worked fine up until yesterday, now a little blue circle keeps turning in the upper right hand corner like it is looking for my email, but I don't get them. I have checked everything your help section says to look at. I even did the one said says check your password, I picked the one in question and did what you said I removed it, closed Thunderbird and reopened and nothing it did not ask for my password like you said it would.

If you are using ESET/NOD32 security/AV there is high probability it is causing your problems. According to ESET forums, you should temporarily disable SSL on ESET until they solve the problem per https://support.eset.com/en/kb3126-disable-ssl-filtering-in-eset-windows-products?ref=esf - the problem is being reported by dozens of users https://forum.eset.com/topic/26517-problems-with-thunderbird-and-imaps/ https://forum.eset.com/discover/
You might also inform them of your difficulty.

Thanks for you help that solved my problem.
thanks Becky Meyer
I just tried the suggestion about deleting the saved passwords in Thunderbird, but that did not work for me.
I have tried the suggested solution about resetting the setting in ESET and that worked.
my problem was solved, but I have one more question, I have 2 computers and 1 laptop all with Windows 10, all use Thunderbird and all have ESet, why was it just 1 computer that had this problem? Thanks Becky
