Hi. I came to a not loggin TB app today and decided to reinstall software. In the meanwhile I was checking Gmail configurations and noticed my IMAP configurations were OFF (as well POP too, but not using POP). Well I am wondering how is the real time sync done during all this time using TB with IMAP settings off in my GMAIL acct.? »As well still waiting to understand how does TB doesn't need new credentials to use acct.s when changing passwords in email providers (Outlook;GMAIL)? thxs

You're probably looking at settings for a different account, because what you're saying is just bonkers. How would Thunderbird use a disabled protocol with incorrect credentials? I've never heard or seen of such a thing.

update ... Gmail asked me for Oauth2 authentication .... Outlook keep sending and receiving msg after password changing. Still have IMAP options inside my GMAIL acct. turned OFF IMAP options inside OUTLOOK are preconfigured and can't disable. Can send more details if needed.
