Arbitrary Changes I didn't ask for

more options

For two years or more Firefox has been automatically opening magnet links with my default torrent engine. Now for no apparent reason it's popping a window asking if I'd like to open the link with my default torrent engine. Anybody know what has caused this. Could it be one of their frequent updates? Also this past week Firefox has chosen to arbitrarily change my Home Page and as well changed how tabs open. Getting close to parting ways with Firefox.

On the first point, Firefox 84 introduced a new "per site" permission to launch external applications for exotic protocols like zoommtg and magnet. This is how it looks for me:

Depending on how many servers you download from, it shouldn't take too long to store up all the sites. Note that if you use automatic private browsing, Firefox may not allow saving the sites ("always" option) because that would create a trail of history on disk.

On the points about your Home Page and tabs, what changed? I'm not aware of Firefox 84 doing anything new in those areas.
