Firefox app no longer in MS store

more options

Ms store no longer carries Firefox app, therefore when choosing FF as default app it doesn't appear in the listings. MS store only carries FF guide 5 of them, but not the app for the engine. Need to find a way of getting the app in the listing of engines so as to chose it.

Hi, the Microsoft software store only carries "modern" apps that use the newer design introduced in Windows 8, while Firefox is a traditional desktop application. There still should be a way to make Firefox your default browser.

Is there someone that knows how to make FF default app? When the FF app doesn't appear in the listings of apps, it is therefore impossible to make it default. Any ideas?

Is Firefox listed as one of the applications you can assign to handle URLs? Here's where you would find that:

(1) Call up Default Apps and scroll down to where you can click "Choose default apps by protocol" (see first screenshot)

(2) After the protocol list loads, scroll down to HTTP and HTTPS (see second screenshot)

Is Firefox available as a choice here on your Windows?
