Hi All

Just reading on the BBC News website that email tracking (pixel) trackers are becoming a major grow area.

Any one know if there is a way to block them in Thunderbird or an AddOn.

The article mentions some major well know brands such as British Airways, TalkTalk, Vodafone, Sainsbury's, Tesco, HSBC, Marks & Spencer, Asos and Unilever as companies using them and I consider them as yet another invasion of privacy

Thanks Geoff

I guess switch off "Allow remote content in messages":

Prefs > Privacy & Security > Privacy Mail Content

With this off you have to hit a button to make images and rich content appear in the email you're reading. Not as bad as it sounds - you can choose which emails you trust enough to fetch the graphics.

Thunderbird blocks remote content in emails by default. No add-on is required.
