No "bookmark page"
I can't bookmark anything now on my mac computer, there is no "Bookmark page" option anymore! Last month there was no refresh button . Why do these things disappear? I refreshed firefox. Keyboard commands do work but this is annoying especially when I must always force quit firefox and half the time that doesn't always work! May be time to move on to another browser things are always so slow!

Don't you have the bookmarks star at the right end of the location bar ?
You may have accidentally removed the star via the right-click context menu (Remove from Address Bar). You can find items the Bookmark Star in the drop-down menu that opens if you click the "Page actions" button (3-dot icon at the right end of the location/address bar). You can right-click an item in the 3-dot "Page actions" drop-down list to add its button to the location bar for easy access.

If you use Sync then best is to disconnect Sync temporarily during troubleshooting.
This can be caused by a problem with the places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite databases in the Firefox profile folder.
- use "Verify Integrity" button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page
If errors are reported with "Verify Integrity", close and restart Firefox or reboot and retry.
If "Verify Integrity" cannot repair places.sqlite, rename/remove all places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed. Firefox will rebuild places.sqlite and restore the bookmarks from a recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- keep a backup copy of places.sqlite in case a new places.sqlite database has to be created
You lose the history when a new places.sqlite is created.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Hi heatherokay, where are you looking for it?
On Mac, your menu bar is a bit different from other OS'es, but on Windows the item can be found under a new name here:
Bookmarks > Bookmark Current Tab
Do you have that entry on Mac?
Regarding problems that cause you to have to force quit, that probably deserves its own thread.
At the top of my page I usually go to "Bookmarks" then drop down to "bookmark this page" but it is not there anymore. Don't know why there isn't a button for this I can just add to my browser!

Awesome, I had no idea that the star was for this LOL! Thanks
You're welcome.
Changes in the new Proton design also can be confusing as they are renaming and moving and removing items in menus and context menus and we need to remember these changes. Some are mentioned under "Changed" in the release notes and affect the Library toolbar button and the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list.
