After moving some extension buttons from the toolbar to the Overflow Menu, the double arrow Overflow button is missing. How do I get it back on the toolbar?

Hello frank, If you right click on the toolbar or an empty spot near the address bar, you should get the "customize toolbar" option.

In the customize toolbar page, you can then click and drag icons around and place them in locations that are good for you.

Before moving icons in the customize page, the double arrow Overflow icon showed to the right of the extensions on the toolbar. Clicking on it opened the Overflow Menu without clicking through the context menu. Can I have that one-click functionality again?

I dont think you / we are able to change the characteristics of that overflow button. I am sure you did not alter its characteristics/functionality it was programmed to do for us.

But i do know that you can move icons from it and over to the left side of that overflow. sometimes you can drag the icon for "space" from the repository and place it next to the overflow button. then you can drag regular icons to the left side of that space button. you can also place icons at the very top next to the menu bar.

Hi Frank, Would you mind sending us a screenshot of what you're seeing after you right-click on the tab bar and select Customize Toolbar? For instructions, see How do I create a screenshot of my problem?.

There is no Overflow button on the toolbar. That's what I've been trying to say. After I right-click and select Customize Toolbar, I see the Overflow Menu. I used to be able to open it without doing that. Was that only with customized settings I made in Test Pilot? At one point, I restored default settings and added customized changes again. Could that explain the difference?

I'd still like to see a screenshot of your Customize Toolbar screen.

We can do a little test, if you are interested is seeing some differences. The test involves creating a new blank virgin empty FireFox profile. Then see if there is a difference in the new profile and the default one, which you are using at this time. And if the New Profile is true-and-correct, then we can make it your new default and populate it with your User Data.

Type the below into the address bar and hit enter. Then look for a button new the top left that says "create new profile". Then launch it. If it doesnt lauch automatically, then look for it on the profile manager page you are in. Let me know if the overflow button shows up or not.

What if you move a built-in button to the overflow menu -- does that help the menu appear on the toolbar? I'm asking that to see whether the problem is specific to add-on buttons.

I can't open the .png file here. A new profile looks the same. Moving different buttons back and forth doesn't change it.
