Hello i am having a problem with Firefox since the last update. When i go into full screen my browser stays stuck . The tabs hide automatically and will not come back down. Normally pressing F11 takes you out FS but it does not work on my computer. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any ideas how to fix it? Using windows 10 and latest version of Firefox.

That might happen on some laptops when the BIOS configuration changes the role of the Fn key. It could be another full screen bug. Does Alt+V reveal the option to uncheck full screen?

i did see something about laptops doing this but im using a Desktop PC. I tried the Fn key and nothing happens. Also Alt+V doesn't show the option to uncheck. When i hover my cursor over the full screen icon it still says F11 should let me exit or enter fullscreen. I'm hoping this is just a bug.

When you right click the Firefox icon on the taskbar, do you see any options that help?

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window
