Sound Notification With No New Email
Upgraded to 91.1.1 and it appears Thunderbird is playing a sound notification every time it checks for email, not just when a new message arrives. Any insight on this? Is there a setting I'm missing? Thanks.

probably new mail in a folder other than the inbox... like the spam folder which is not normally updated unless you make it so by right clicking the folder and selecting properties.
Thanks for the reply. I found that one of my accounts was checking for new mail, but not downloading it. So every time it checked(set to 1:00 minute) it would sound a new email was there. I checked the "automatically download new messages" box and that seems to have fixed it. Thanks again for the reply!
you might want to change the frequency of checking mail. anything less than 5 minutes is often so fast that the last check does not complete. With good servers like Google you get push notifications on IMAP accounts and checking can be further relaxed to 15 minutes to half an hour as new mail to the inbox is "pushed" out anyway.
I did not know, thanks for the info!
