Just recently, I get this message that blocks my sending emails with attachment. Why? or how can I fix this. I have spoken to Shaw Cable and they suggested contacting Thunderbird.....

Sending of the message failed.

The message could not be sent using Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.shaw.ca for an unknown reason. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

What are your settings? They should be: mail.shaw.ca on 587, STARTTLS, authentication = normal password, User Name = part of address before @.

Use a 'strong' password.
