Since the update today to Mozilla 94.0.1 Firefox has locked out my access from the internet on my Windows 10 computer. Other browsers are working just fine. Do I need to drop Firefox? Or, is there a fix or update coming to address this?

Hi, what kind of messages are you seeing in Firefox? For example:

  • Can't make a secure connection
  • Site not found
  • Page timed out
  • Something else

If it's a secure connection error, can you copy/paste the ERROR_CODE from the page? Sometimes you need to click an Advanced button to access the code.

You can check for issues caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation that is missing runtime components (Redistributable Packages) required by Firefox, especially VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.

See "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019":

You may also have to install the Visual Studio 2013 Redistributable Package. You need to reboot the computer.
