I just installed Thunderbird and connected my Exchange account that I have previously accessed with Outlook. I have numerous folders in my Exchange account, but only a few of the showed up in TB. I browsed through some of the folders and TB downloaded the messages in these folders. After I closed TB and restarted, all folders were gone and at the bottom there was an indication the the identity was null.

Not knowing your specifics, you may need to use an addon for Exchange, such as OWL or EXQUILLA.

I did install Owl during the setup procedure.

Your missing folders will be "shared" I suggest you consult the OWL documentation on shared resources.

Last August the OWL folk posted this in their addon reviews; "As for shared folders, you can configure the shared folder in Outlook Web Access in your browser. Then, after you restart Thunderbird, the same shared folders should appear in Thunderbird.

As for shared calendars, we don't support them yet. It's on our list of planned features, but I can't tell you when we'll be able to do to it."

Perhaps that helps.
