DUPLICATES + NOT RECEIVING NEW EMAILS

more options

Since yesterday, I only receive multiple copies of 1 email into the acct I have linked with gmail, and that's it. This morning I had 18 emails so I thought things might be ok again, but when I checked the thunderbird inbox, it was just that same 1 email from yesterday 18 times, all with the same date and time stamp. To get to my gmail emails, I have to go directly to gmail, which kind of defeats the purpose of using thunderbird at all. How do I fix it?

Chosen solution

Access the account on gmail, and delete the repeating message, then empty Trash and Spam. See if messages then download to TB.
