managing multiple e-mail accounts in Thunderbird
I have been using Outlook (Office 2010, Windows 7) for many years for multiple e-mail accounts, including about 6 Gmail accounts and 1 "other" IMAP e-mail account. I have "rules" that copy certain types of e-mails into specific folders in different accounts. I have separate inboxes for each account. But now, G-mail no longer can work with Outlook from Office 2010. I purchased Office 2021 but that will not work with Windows 7. And my computer and multiple scanners and other software will not work with newer Windows... Therefore, I'm looking for another e-mail client that will work with my multiple Gmail and other accounts and permit automatic copying and moving of certain types of messages between folders. Also to have MANY folders in one particular (non Gmail) account. Can I configure Thunderbird to perform these tasks? If not, is there any other e-mail client that would be more suitable for me? Thank you.

I see nothing mentioned that is not well in the capabilities of Thunderbird. including importing your outlook 2010, although it may be too old for current releases. I am quite confused as to which outlook versions import without issues into which Versions of Thunderbird.
In case you still have the issue, here is how I got around it. I deleted the first Microsoft email account and then re-created it after activating Troubleshoot Mode (menu item under Help). Then I was able to add my second Microsoft email account with no error message ('server already exists'). My laptop is under Windows 7 Pro and my Outlook 2010 got locked out of MS exchange server as of 8/16/2022.
Adding to my previous post: I have to keep Troubleshoot Mode on at all times or TB will tell me I cannot logon to my email accounts (both passwords rejected).
