Recently downloaded Thunderbird 102.0.3 on my new laptop. Every folder & subfolder was threaded (even though the default is supposed to be unthreaded). I'm looking for a way to unthread everything at once, rather than going through and individually unthreading each subfolder. Thank you!

I share your view; changing the default and making it difficult to change was not welcome. The fix is to set mailnews.default_view_flags in config editor to 0.

Thank you for your response. I tried that but it didn't seem to make any difference (even after closing Thunderbird and restarting the computer). Any other possibilities? I appreciate your time.

Thanks. I will report the bug.

I have a correction. The info I gave you applies to all NEW folders, not those that already exist. This was done by design.
