Printing does not adhere to options set in printing preferences

more options

When I use the "print" option under the 3-bars in upper right of Firefox screen (and the same thing in Thunderbird), Firefox and Thunderbird ignore my "print 2-sided" option that is set for my printing preferences under Windows. Instead both Firefox and Thunderbird print one-sided only. How do I get Thunderbird and Firefox to adhere to the printing preferences I have set for my printer? I always run the newest releases of both Thunderbird and Firefox. This problem has been ongoing for several years now. Thanks, Jerry Raack

Hi Jerry, when you scroll down the More Settings section of the print preview/setup overlay, does Firefox recognize that your printer has the capability to print two-sided? If so, there should be a control where you can specify whether and how to do it. For example:

If that selector is missing, Firefox may not be accurately pulling your printer settings from Windows.

If that selector is there but your selection is being ignored, hmm, bad browser. Hopefully there's a way to fix that.
