For the past few months Youtube sound is cracking, it sounds like static in an analogue transmission. VLC plays everything fine and Youtube works with Edge.

Any idea why Firefox audio is cracking? I tried with both 64 bit and 32 bit Firefox.

What version of Win10 O/S do you have loaded? I seen with Win10 1909 if updated to 21H2 it messes up my audio settings. So does your audio go mute high low mute high low? And cracking did you check your audio connections were free of dust and did you check your speakers out they were working ok. Also one shouldn't be installed 32 and 64 bit on the same system that could have unintended problems happening as well.
