Please consider adding this feature. I have hundreds of subfolders, and it is crazy-making to have to scroll to the parent folder and make a new subfolder when I am trying to move an email to a new subfolder (such as 2023 within a parent folder).

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I don't foresee your use case being solved in the way you suggest. And definitely not any time soon. It also doesn't sound like this would be something frequently needed, for example daily.

When you are in the folder pane, a possible short cut is use the keyboard left arrow key, it will take you to the parent folder.

Also look at the "Go" menu - it doesn't have folder navigation, but it might spark some ideas to suggest. Also check the quickfolders add-on.
