Spectrum email server settings aren't working with Thunderbird.

I've followed Spectrum's directions, inserting the information into Thunderbird's interface. All is well until the very end, when Thunderbird rejects the settings.

Does Thunderbird now only work with its own mobile.charter.net???

That makes little sense. Charter bought out a number of other competitors in 2016 and renamed itself spectrum. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charter_Communications So I really have no idea why you would be suggesting that server has something to do with Thunderbird.

Mostly I find folk with issue with settings not working when they are using those suggested by their provider have an issue with their antivirus usually. This is best tested using your operating system in safe mode with networking.
