Hi, Have been having issues with the google cdm widewine drm plugin for a wee while now but eventually found the solution to my specific case. The problem was firefox never managed to install the plugin, it just kept saying it was installing it but never did.

It tuns out that my opnsense router uses an IDS / IPS watchdog plugin called ZenArmor. Tuns out it was blocking the download url for the plugin from the following address

https://r3---sn-c5ioiv45c-5goe.gvt1.com

If I added the gvt1.com domain to it s exceptions list, firefox immediately downloaded and installed the plugin flawlessly.

Then this wasn't really a Firefox issue but 3rd party software that was doing this. You should report this or post that to the ZenArmor site since they would be the one to fix this issue of their software.
